Are you able to provide service staff?

Yes, we can organise skilled professional waiting staff to make your event run smoothly. Our staff are mature and knowledgeable and will set up, serve and pack down, allowing you to relax and enjoy the company of your guests.

Please appreciate that our staff require a minimum of three hours for lunch, cocktail functions and dinners.

We recommend:
1 staff member per 20 – 25 guest for cocktail style functions

1 to 15 – 20 guests for buffet style functions and 1 to 10 guests for formal sit down functions.

The cost of waiting staff is $50.00 per hour minimum of three hours.

When a chef is required for your function a charge of $75.00 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours.
All formal functions, some buffets and cocktail receptions will require a chef.

Are you able to provide equipment hire?

We are happy to advise on your hire requirements including quantities needed. We recommend Your Event Solutions and Barlen’s Hire. We are also happy to prepare your order if needed.

Can I set up a corporate account for my office catering?

Yes 

Can you cater at the last-minute?

We certainly can but we can offer you more options if you don’t leave it until the last minute.

Can you cater on a boat?

Yes

Do I need to provide you with advance notice when placing an order for corporate drop off catering?

Advance notice is always preferable – you can book a fortnight ahead and firm up your final numbers and dietary requirements twenty-four hours before the event. Please bear in mind that there may be some days when we are fully booked.

Do you cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free &/or dairy-free?

Yes, please be sure to specify this in your initial request, however, we only need 36 hours before the event to ensure we can meet these requests.

Do you make all food from basic ingredients?

Yes, except bread.

Do you provide disposable napkins, plates, cups and cutlery with catering orders?

You will receive complimentary napkins with each delivery. For other items such as plates, cups and cutlery there is fee of 80c per item per head.

Do you supply alcohol?

Yes – you may have a drinks package for an event or simply have your drinks on a consumption basis where you only pay for what is consumed and a licence fee.

How can I cancel my order and how much notice do I need to give?

We require 48 hours notice for a cancellation of an order. This request must be made via email to admin@kitchenwitchery.com.au

How can I change my order?

You can do this by sending an email.

How do I know there will be enough food?

Kitchen Witchery have a reputation for being very generous with their catering and no one has ever gone hungry!

How do I pay for my catering?

For corporate catering, we will send you a seven day account within seven days of the event. This can be paid by EFT or credit card if you prefer.

How do I place my catering order?

How do you ensure warm food arrives warm on delivery?

It is delivered in special portable hotboxes which are insulated to keep the food hot.

How far in advance do I need to book?

A minimum of 36 hours, however this does not guarantee availability. You can book up to 6 months in advance.

How long is my quote valid for?

One month

How will my order arrive / do I need to platter the food when it is delivered?

All catering is delivered on platters. We return within 2 business days to our equipment up.

I don’t want to have a chef onsite. Can you deliver the food ready to serve?

Yes but not everything. Some food requires a chef to finish

I would like to heat and serve the food myself, is that possible?

Yes – we can provide you with heating instructions.

I would like to order something that is not on your menu, can you do this for me?

This is possible providing it is economically viable for us and if we have sufficient notice.

I would like to provide my own wait staff. Is that okay?

Yes – providing they are well presented and efficient.

I would like to supply some extra food in addition to your catering. Can your wait staff serve my food as well?

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes – it is dependent on location as per below:

Russell, Barton, Forrest, Red Hill, City, Pialligo  $15.00

North Canberra, Woden & Weston Creek      $20.00

Belconnen & Tuggeranong                              $25.00

The venue I’d like to use does not have a kitchen. Will this be a problem?

We are well used to working in difficult venues and can adapt a menu to suit. We have our own ovens and induction hot plates for hire so we can work just about anywhere.

What areas do you deliver to?

Canberra and surrounding regions e.g. Yass, Goulburn, Bungendore, etc.

What happens if I need to cancel my event and how much notice do I need to give?

Cancellation of a catering order requires 48 hours notice. Cancellation of a private function such as a wedding has special terms and conditions applicable.

What is the minimum number of people you cater for?

Please refer to the relevant menus or packages as this varies according to the function type.

What time will the chef and wait staff arrive?

We suggest that staff and chef arrive 45 minutes before your guests to allow them to setup.

What type of sandwich fillings do you offer?

– Roast beef, aioli + roast capsicum

– Ham, cheese + semi-dried tomatoes

– Chicken, tarragon + celery salad with avocado

– Roast turkey, cranberry, avocado + sprouts

– Smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber + Spanish onion

– Hungarian salami, chilli jam, dill cucumbers + lettuce

Vegetarian

– Brie, date paste apricots + almonds

– Roast vegetables with fetta + avocado

When do I receive an invoice for my catering?

You will be emailed a tax invoice within seven days of the catering.

When will you collect the platters my order was delivered on?

Within 2 business days

Will I be charged for lost or damaged equipment?

Yes
